I am Jennifer Lonergan, owner and founder of award winning 'The Luxury Traveller'. After many years of working in the travel industry I decided to follow my dreams and create a travel company where I design tailor made luxury travel journeys all around the world.

Travel has always been my passion, from a very young age I have visited some of the most beautiful places in the world and I love to share my knowledge and experiences to help my clients create their own. Customer satisfaction is what is most important to me.

Each client gets individual and direct attention from myself. Whether it is helping to organise a family getaway, cultural City break, an exciting multi destination holiday or a wellness retreat, my job is to design each clients trip that will exceed their expectations.

I am completely independent, I work flexible hours so I am available anytime, can meet anywhere and I handle each enquiry specifically to suit individual needs with the upmost discretion.

Each hotel & Villa we recommend are constantly being reviewed by myself and my connections in each destination to ensure clients have the best experience. I work alongside the UK’s top luxury tour operators and I truly understand the importance of attention to detail. Over the years I have built up a wealth of contacts which enables me to take care of the finer details.

As a travel provider, we realise that we have a responsibility to be aware of the environmental impact of travel which is why we are committed to planting a tree for every booking made with The Luxury Traveller.

We have teamed up with Eforests, a not-for-profit organisation run enitrely by volunteers, to help create and restore woodlands throughout the United Kingdom. Trees will be planted around the UK in community woodlands, nature reserves, community farms and urban areas helping to create greener and healthier places for people to enjoy for generations to come. You will receive a certificate with details of where your tree is located and exactly what species has been planted for you.

We know its only a small step but together we will help to reduce and offset our carbon footprints one tree at a time.

Jen has helped to plan our holidays and trips for as long as I can remember, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with the task! From short city breaks, to long summer vacations, all our amazing travel experiences are because of her. The service she provides is second to non, especially for our annual summer trips to Dubai. From landmark hotels like The Burj Al Arab, to newcomers like Jumeriah Al Naseem.. Every summer she wows us with the most amazing recommendations, and takes care of every single detail from start to finish. She is always available to discuss details, answer questions and give her expert advice about any part of our bookings...we always feel like we are in the best hands with Jen and her amazing personalised service! As well as taking care of finding the best flights and accommodation, she has wowed us with her abilities to help us plan a surprise proposal, vow renewal, and even helping to arrange private villa security! It wasn’t just the extravagance of flying business class, and being picked up by private chauffeur from all locations, the amazing hotels and locations or the standard of service given by Jen herself, but the sheer luxury of it all from start to finish. We felt like every tiny detail had been taken care of and all we had to do was sit back and enjoy all that was on offer. We ended our vacation with a 3 day all-inclusive safari at Kariega Private Reserve and it was awesome. I spent several evening on the phone with Jen and she really got to know my husband and I as people and then tailored our trip to all the experiences I had on our wish list. We however didn’t envisage our first time going with 3 children in tow but we had heard so many great things about the Maldives now being a great family destination. Jen tailor made the holiday to our requests of dual destinations, length of stay and accommodation needs. Niyama Private Islands was put to us and now all future holidays will never be the same again. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was like being in ultimate paradise. Through out our stay Jen was always at the end of the phone should we need her and always make sure there is a personal touch from her in the room. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish including multiple flights, transfer by sea and land. Everyday on the island was magical and memorable and we can’t wait to go back again. The Maldives has well and truly stolen all our hearts. We wouldn’t use anybody else to book our holidays and would always recommend Jen. At first we were hesitant as we knew nothing about the country, where to even start with what we would do there or how to make 2 weeks there as worthwhile as possible as possible. After telling Jen some minor requirements and giving our budget, we were sent a plan of a dream holiday very quickly with no detail missed. From airport transfer, hotel, excursions (with transport included), - literally every detail mentioned from start to finish. It was so easy to say yes and voila – our holiday to Thailand was booked.

“When the Pandemic affected a lot of the borders and travel restrictions became more complicated, I had two holidays planned. I have a 2 year old and I was also pregnant at the time we were due to travel therefore I was concerned about where to go and what to do when we had to cancel. Even though the government guidelines meant it was so last minute that our holidays were changed, Jen and Celia made me feel calm, I was reassured that the money I had spent was in good hands and they kept in touch to make sure I knew exactly where I stood. They were both so friendly, they understood the situation and were quick to refund any balance and find me and my family an alternative. They were never impatient, no question was a silly one and I always got a call back within the day if they were unable to get to the phone/email.
We had the best time on the two trips that they booked for us, they were perfect and I felt safe as I knew I had Jen to contact if we had any questions. Because of them, we had quality time together abroad despite everything and it’s what I’m taking away from 2020. Our hotel was STUNNING! The location was perfect as we were close to many towns but on the edge of the island so our hotel was really peaceful. Jen could not have chosen a more perfect hotel for us and completely understood our requirements in terms of the room we wanted.

With so many things to do and explore in Thailand, Jen recommended an animal cruelty free trip to a place called Elephant hills where you travel and stay for x2 nights on a breathtaking river tent in the jungle and have personal experiences with elephants such as washing and feeding them. (not riding them!), as well as other water sports, hikes and Thai markets. This was the most perfect adventure for us. It was faultless and simply a beautiful life changing experience.

I cannot express how easy and un-stressful our holiday was considering how much planning would have been involved behind the scenes. Not one part of this stress was put onto us. It was the most amazing combination of exploring Thai traditional culture and luxury relaxation.

I will continue to book holidays though the Luxury Traveller and will continue to recommended Jen and her unbelievable company to anyone who is thinking of booking a holiday"
